Anke Rückert is Doctor of Chemistry and patent attorney with many years of experience in the field of industrial property rights. She has been admitted as a German and European patent attorney as well as a European Trademark and Design Attorney since 2005. Since 2007 she is also European Patent Attorney.

Her work includes the processing of patent applications, the development of intellectual property strategies, the defense of property rights, and the support of opposition and nullity proceedings. She is also active in the translation of technical documents in various chemical fields.

Ms. Rückert has in-depth expertise in chemistry, particularly in the fields of polymer chemistry, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, food chemistry, cosmetics and inorganic chemistry. Prior to her work as a patent attorney, she worked in the pharmaceutical industry in the field of oncology, where she was responsible for the development of new active ingredients.

Her chemistry studies led her to the Technical University of Berlin, where she received her doctorate in 1999 with a thesis on the development of novel metathesis reactions and their application in the synthesis of natural products. Her research results have been published in several scientific journals.

Due to her attendance at the French Gymnasium in Berlin, Ms. Rückert speaks French and English fluently.
